The reason I got into radio was to make a difference. I'm personally involved with many local organizations, as well as the hundreds we work with through the station. Here are just a few of the groups I spend more time helping:
University of Iowa Children's Hospital, CMN, and Dance Marathon
The ARC of East Central Iowa
Knights of Columbus
Marion Youth Baseball
I enjoy coaching baseball, playing tennis, kickboxing, listening to music, playing board games with my kids, riding rollercoasters and taking long walks on the beach.
My favorite teams that I follow:
· Minnesota Vikings Football
· Nebraska Cornhuskers Football
· Univ of North Dakota Fighting Sioux Hockey
· Linn Mar Lions
· Iowa Hawkeyes
· Minnesota Twins & Cincinnati Reds Baseball
I'm deeply depressed today after watching last night's Monday Night Football game. Everyone talks about parity in the NFL. They are half right. Half the teams are all equally bad and the better teams are all about the same. Problem here is that my team, the Vikings, look horrible, and played one of the worst games I have ever watched or witnessed. They gave the game away and the so-called new QB, who was brought in to help the team right itself from a dismal start looked worse than a rookie QB in their first pre-season game. Looks like I'll be hoping for a shot at the number one draft pick in the Spring. To add further insult, my wife says "If they are going to be that bad, you don't need to watch and you can do some work around here on Sudays" Crap!
